More Time With My Toy
I've spent an awful lot of time out at Sandy Creek on the new course... I laid out the novice tees today with my sister as Am-Woman consultant and they play under 5000 feet, so I'm happy about that (my target had been 4800 but 4990's fine with me). The Am-tees play over 6800 feet but Lynn didn't think any of them were too long because there aren't very many really long shots in there. I don't think there's anywhere on the course that you can just gun it as hard as you can and not worry about the consequences. She said she was tired by the end, but it was more from the distance walked (and hills climbed...) than from the throws.
Anyway, there's a lot of work to be done on the course still, lots of barbed wire to remove and briars to clear (as well as the woods holes still need to be cleared, but they're pretty open so it shouldn't be too hard) so if you're interested in coming to help any time let me know.
