So there's been some news stories in the past few weeks about the Alabama judge who refused to remove the monument to the 10 commandments from the state courthouse. Well, I'm not sure how somebody could become a chief justice of a state supreme court and still have no concept of law, but apparently it's happened.
Thing is, while that brings all sorts of disgusted feelings for me, it gets worse. CNN had a poll asking if it was appropriate to have a monument to the 10 commandments at a courthouse and with almost 300,000 votes about 55% say yes. Have none of you heard of separation of church and state? And do you not see how staggeringly important that separation is?
Absolutely boggles the mind. At least the rest of the Alabama government seems to be more on top of the concept.
